MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - History is being made as Action News 5 replaces a piece of its original transmitter site. Action News 5 is updating its technology and signal. In doing so, the antenna atop the original transmitter site has been replaced--the tower has stood since WMC went on the air in 1948.

DISH Network customers lost access to Action News 5 on Tuesday, March 10 after a renewal agreement was not reached. This means DISH customers no longer have access to WMC-TV.
